New Blood Donor Portal Launches on June 4
We are excited to announce the launch of a new and improved blood donor portal on June 4, as well as upcoming changes to our donor loyalty program, in order to better serve you.
Please note that your donor portal and online scheduling will be unavailable from 6:30 p.m. on June 3 until 1 p.m. on June 4. Please call us if you would like to schedule an appointment while the system is down: (619) 400-8251.
New Blood Donor Portal
The new Donor Portal will include upgrades to improve your online scheduling experience and how we communicate with you. All donors will need to create a new account. Previous log-in information will not work on this new portal.
To login for the first time after 1 p.m. on June 4:
- Please visit MySCBB.org.
- Click the text that says, “Don’t have an account? Create One Now” and follow the instructions on the page.
- Each donor will need a unique email address and birth date to login. Entering your donor ID will streamline the process.
You will notice a new look and feel when you login. You will still have access to favorite tools, including your blood type, donation history, next eligibility date and wellness tracker.

Donor Points and Platelet Pledge Program Updates
As a blood donor, you play a critical role as a guardian of our community’s blood supply and overall health. To honor and celebrate your dedication to saving lives, we are excited to launch a new Donor Loyalty Program as soon as possible (to replace the previous donor points program). Donors who give two times in a rolling 12-month period will continue to be honored by San Diego Blood Bank with their names listed on a scrolling digital display at one or more of our donor centers.
Stay tuned in the coming weeks for information on how and where to redeem your loyalty points that you earned previously.
For loyal platelet donors who signed up for the platelet pledge, you will not see your pledge in the new portal at this time.
