Medical Procedures
- Blood Transfusion – wait 12 months after transfusion
- Ear/Body Piercing and Tattoos – No deferral if sterile equipment was used or if performed in Sate Regulated Entity (SRE), otherwise wait 12 months.
- Heart Surgery (Angioplasty, Bypass Surgery, Stent) – wait 6 months and you must be asymptomatic at time of donation.
- General Surgery – fully healed surgical site and complete recovery
