Contact with person with HIV/AIDS or someone with high risk behavior
– wait 12 months
Contact with another person’s blood (open skin contact)

Diabetes
– no wait if medically controlled
Heart Disease
(Angina, Heart Attack, MI) – wait 6 months and you must be asymptomatic at time of donation.
Malaria
- 3 years after successful treatment
Pregnancy/Abortion/Miscarriage
– wait 6 weeks after delivery, abortion, or miscarriage
Stroke (CVA)
– wait 6 months from stroke
