Celebrate National Blood Donor Month By Committing to Donate in 2022!

Celebrate National Blood Donor Month By Saving Lives With Us

January is National Blood Donor Month, and this year San Diego Blood Bank, Southern California Blood Bank and blood centers across the country are encouraging healthy and eligible individuals to commit to donating blood at least twice throughout 2022! Winter is a difficult time when blood collection centers work extra hard to collect enough blood to maintain a safe and steady supply for our hospital partners 24/7. We are ready to welcome new and returning lifesavers to the Southern California Blood Bank family.

Join us in celebrating National Blood Donor Month. Throughout the month you can check out our social media accounts for facts and tips on how to maintain your health and help others by donating blood.

We want to take the time to also show our immense gratitude to our elite group of blood donors, the Guardians Circle, whose members commit to donate within 8 weeks of their eligibility date, ensuring that blood is on the shelves for those in need. You can make the pledge and learn more about this program at sandiegobloodbank.org/guardianscircle.
